I am having an issue in windows 10. i am trying to install a driver for an arduino uno. when i plug the arduino in, windows automatically installs some driver for it.. As can be seen in the image, with the default windows 10 driver installed, the arduino appears as usb serial device (com4) (left), but after the arduino driver is installed the same arduino appears as arduino uno (com4) (right).. Getting started with arduino and genuino uno. windows - from xp up to 10 - will install drivers automatically as soon as you connect your board. if you are using an old version of the ide (1.0.3 or older), choose the uno driver file named "arduino uno.inf" windows will finish up the driver installation from there. see also:.
